Equipment Care Today, a national service agent to the foodservice indus- try, changed its name to Smart Care. Jack in the Box plans to sell its Qdoba concept to Apollo Global Man- agement, a private equity firm, for $305 million. The deal is expected to close in April 2018. Multiline manufacturer Mity Inc. acquired Bertolini Inc., a privately owned manufacturer of seating products fo- cused for a variety of markets, including hospitality. MTY Food Group will acquire Imves- cor Restaurant Group Inc., a multicon- cept operator of five restaurant chains, in a deal valued at approximately $248 million. Preferred Marketing Group, a California-based independent manufac- turers' rep firm, added three new compa- nies to the lineup of firms it represents: Mibrasa Charcoal Ovens, a manufacturer of closed barbecue grills; RDT, a manu- facturer of refrigeration rack systems for the foodservice industry; and Fermod, a manufacturer of storage solutions. New Port Richey, Fla.-based Welbilt Inc.'s Concord, Ontario, manufacturing facility has passed ISO 9001:15 certifica- tion for the design and manufacture of commercial stainless steel kettles, tilt skillets and steamers. Zink Foodservice, an independent manufacturers' rep firm based in Ohio, has transitioned ownership to its more than 75 employees through an employ- ee stock ownership program.
