Foodservice equipment industry vet- eran David Shantz returned to Dormont Manufacturing to serve as national sales manager. He previously worked with Dormont from 1997 to 2007. Dunkin' Brands Group promoted Scott Murphy to chief operating officer of Dunkin' Donuts U.S. and appointed vet- eran restaurant executive Rick Colón to the newly created position of senior vice president, operations and development for Dunkin' Donuts U.S. Multiconcept operator Front Burner Restaurant Group appointed restaurant industry veteran Steve Shlemon to serve as CEO for its Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar and Ida Claire chains. Scott SirLouis was named chief operating officer for FSC Franchise Co., a multiconcept operator who is the parent company of Beef 'O' Brady's and The Brass Tap. Greenwald Sales & Marketing, an independent manufacturers' rep firm, added foodservice industry veteran Bev- erly Waligora to its sales team. The Homer Laughlin China Com- pany appointed Mariko Sakurai to serve as its central regional sales manager. InSinkErator promoted Mike Klos to national sales manager, foodservice from sales manager, retail. He replaces Bob Thielen, who was promoted to director of sales — foodservice in September 2017. Irinox North America named David Ivey-Soto, CEC, CCA, as East Coast manager. Robin Hamm was named vice president of culinary for MOD Pizza, a fast-casual concept. Foodservice equipment industry vet- eran Corey Burns, CFSP, was named vice president of sales for the MVP Group, a Miami, Fla.-based independent manufac- turers' rep firm. Food prep equipment manufacturer Robot Coupe tapped Joel Garza to serve as sales manager. Papa John's International Inc. pro- moted Steve Ritchie to CEO. Restaurant industry veteran Ray Blanchette is the new CEO of Ruby Tuesday. Taco Bell named Julie Felss Masino president of the quick-serve restaurant chain. Michael Kelly was named sales manager for ThermalRite, a cold storage manufacturer that's part of Everidge. Faucet manufacturer Tomlinson Industries promoted Michael Meyer to vice president of engineering. Unified Brands hired Chuck Parke to serve as vice president of operations for the multiline foodservice equip- ment manufacturer. Wingstop Restaurants Inc. named company veteran Larry Kruguer executive vice president and chief operating officer. Foodservice Pros on the Move T&S Brass Adds Solar Panels at Headquarters Faucet and fixture manufacturer T&S Brass installed a solar farm at the com- pany's Travelers Rest, S.C., headquarters at the end of 2017. The system will offset roughly 15 percent of the power the manufacturing facility consumes and reduce its carbon footprint. Jeff Kiker, a 35-year veteran at food- prep manufacturer Robot Coupe U.S.A., retired at the end of December 2017. Peggy Bensinger, a principal at FSI&T, a St. Louis-based independent manufacturers' rep firm, passed away on Dec. 28.
