I'm bringing my 7-year-old twins along to Orlando. Can they come and see the show? Sorry. Attendance at the show is restricted to professionals in the foodservice industry. Children less than 16 years of age aren't allowed on the show oor at any time. But my spouse can tag along, right? No again, unless he or she registers. Everyone entering the show oor must have an of•cial show badge. I registered online but haven't received my badge yet. When will I get it? No badges are sent out before the show. NAFEM prints all badges on- site. Attendees can pick them up at the registration area in the North/ South building at the convention center. Registrants staying at the Hilton Orlando, Hyatt Regency Orlando and Rosen Centre Hotel can pick up their badges right at the hotel. Are there early-bird discounts available? Yes. The discounted show registration rate of $75 expires Jan. 16, 2019. It then increases to $100 per person. The early-bird housing reservation cut-off is Jan. 7, 2019. What if I need to cancel my registration? The NAFEM Show badge/admission fees are non-refundable. Optional social event tickets (Kick-Off Party and NAFEM Party) are refundable if NAFEM receives a written request on or before Jan. 23, 2019. Send requests to nafem@compusystems. com. What is Training Time? It's the hour before the of•cial 9 a.m. show opening on Fri., Feb. 8 and Sat., Feb. 9. Attendees wishing to access the show oor during these times will require a special Training Time badge. The hour is set aside for manufacturers to conduct in-booth product training for their dealers/distributors, consultants and manufacturers' reps. How can I get a Training Time badge? NAFEM distributes Training Time badges to all show registrants who are members of Foodservice Equipment Distributors Association (FEDA), Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI), Commercial Food Equipment Service Association (CFESA) or any buying group. Can I attend the Kick-Off Party and NAFEM Party? If so, where can I get tickets? Of course! All show attendees are welcome to come and enjoy the fun at both networking events, but you'll need a ticket (they're not included in the show registration fee). Purchase tickets during the online registration process or add them to your registration at a later date. I thought the big party was always on Saturday night. Did that change? Yes. Starting with the 2019 show, the NAFEM Party (formerly called the After-Show Party) takes place on Friday night. For 2019, the party will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 8. Where can I charge my phone during the show? One of the best places is at the NAFEM booth (#1435). It's centrally located on the show oor and offers a lounge area equipped with charging stations in addition to concierge services — and networking opportunities. NAFEM also provides complimentary Wi-Fi for all attendees inside the Orange County Convention Center. Sometimes when attending a trade show, you just need to know where you can charge your phone.
