Prior to Acosta Sales, Johnson was president of The HGA Group. Mark Easterday was promoted to the newly created position of executive vice president of Middleby brand sales. In his new role, Easterday becomes responsible for oversight of the Middleby Representative Groups in the U.S. and Canada. Frank Houser was named sales director for Sapphire Manufacturing, a New York-based provider of commercial kitchen and foodservice equipment. The Sam Tell Companies, a New York-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealer, promoted two members of its team. Peter Caro was promoted to vice president of continuous improvement and quality management from director of purchasing. Matthew Sheinfeld will assume the position of director of purchasing. Chris Homewood was named president of TriMark Economy, a division of TriMark USA. He will work with Chief Operating Officer Richard Michka, who will retire in Septem- ber, per a company release. TriMark Economy's Jeff Weinstock will focus his efforts more on business development and retail sales, the release added. In other TriMark news, Cassidy Martin was named director of business development for TriMark- Strategic. In her new role, Martin will help TriMark grow its ser- vice operations throughout the southeast region and beyond. Martin comes to TriMark from General Parts, a service agent. Tuxton China named Steve Abourisk the manufacturer's vice president of sales. Unified Brands named Derek Brodt and Rachael Sassarini business develop- ment managers for its institutional accounts teams, working in the manufacturer's eastern and western territories. Brodt will focus on healthcare foodservice. He spent the past year as a production manager for the company's Groen line of equipment. Sassarini will focus on K-12 school foodser- vice throughout the U.S. Her professional background includes working for a medical device manufacturing firm.
