Chan- dler Hospital at the University of Kentucky (UK), one enters the quint- essential modern healthcare facility. A comforting, wel- coming and healing environ- ment greets patients, visitors and staff as they step into a spacious, light-filled atrium lobby. A stainless steel and mesh fabric sculpture hangs suspended beneath a three- story skylight. Throughout the hospital, elements of nature and art that are rep- resentative of the state and its people contribute to the healing process. As part of the new hospi- tal project, UK HealthCare Food and Nutrition Services, which is managed by Mor- rison Healthcare/Compass USA, expanded to serve patients, visitors and staff.
