Private equity firm Trivest Partners has acquired two foodservice equipment and supplies dealers: B&J Food Service Equip- ment and Beltram Foodservice Group. The companies will now go to market as BJ Beltram Inc. Elite Global Solutions named its 2016 Rep Groups of the Year and recog- nized the performance of several individ- ual reps. Acosta Corner Stone Sales was named 2016 Eastern Region Representa- tive of the Year. Meyer Marketing was named 2016 Western Region Representa- tive of the Year. Hangman Corp. appointed Kyle Johnson vice president of national ac- counts. Johnson was hired to establish the Chain Foodservice Division for the Texas-based foodservice designer and equipment dealer. He will focus his efforts on emerging and medium-size chains. Hatco Corp.'s Rapide Cuisine IRNG- PC1-18 Countertop Induction Range was awarded the Excellence in Design Silver Award by appliance DESIGN magazine. Commercial cooking and processing equipment manufacturer The Middleby Corporation acquired Sweden-based Sveba Dahlen Group, an oven and baking equipment manufacturer. Sveba Dahlen Group's brands include Sveba Dahlen, Glimek and Bear Varimixer. A subsidiary of MTY Food Group Inc. will acquire Montreal-based Dagwoods Sandwiches et Salades for $3 million. Dagwoods operates 23 restaurants in Canada, the majority in Quebec and 1 in Ontario. Premier Equipment Group expand- ed its representation of Vulcan, Wolf, and Berkel — which the group has represent- ed in MAFSI region 12 for 20 years — into the Carolinas, or MAFSI region 11. U.S. Cooler has established a new sales territory to cover the greater Phoe- nix market, which includes Tucson and the surrounding communities. Tommy Bliefnick was named regional sales man- ager, representing the Quincy, Ill.-based manufacturer of walk-in coolers and freezers in this territory. InBrief
