10 • FOODSERVICE EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES • APRIL 2017 people & events T he North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) recognized several individuals for their contributions to the association and the foodservice in- dustry. The following industry veterans were honored: • Steve Follett, CFSP, president, CEO and chairman of Follett LLC, Easton, Penn., was recognized with the NAFEM 2017 President's Award, which honors a non-elected member of the association for their efforts on behalf of the organization. Follett has participated in NAFEM activi- ties for more than 30 years and has lent his talents to a variety of other industry associations. • Paul Angrick, CFSP, and former NAFEM president, was the recipi- ent of NAFEM's 2017 William W. Carpenter Award. The association's highest honor, the award recognizes Angrick's contributions to NAFEM over the decades. He supported the organization by serving on a variety of committees and as its president. • Roy Hook, retired Wendy's equip- ment guru, received the NAFEM Award of Merit for his role in build- ing the relationship between manu- facturers and their constituency. • Mike Harlamert of YUM! Brands, who leads equipment and supplies ef- forts for KFC, received the NAFEM Award of Merit for enhancing the manufacturer-customer relationship.
